Working with horses has been a life-long passion for Ullrich Kasselmann, he already knew from an early age that he wanted to also make it his profession. He completed his equestrian education with the respected horse man, Hans-Joachim Köhler in Verden. It was there that Kasselmann spent more than 18 years as a successful auction rider. Prominent dressage riders such as Harry Boldt, Bubi Günther or Willy Schultheiß were his role models and provided him with the knowledge and skill set to train horses up to Grand Prix level. Kasselmann is an expert ‘par excellence’ and internationally acclaimed horse man, who was honoured with the coveted golden cross of the German equestrian federation, FN.
Bianca Kasselmann has also discovered her love for horses early on. Affiliated with the sport since childhood she has become a very successful professional rider and respected member in equestrian circles. She met her husband Ullrich at the Köhler competition barn in Verden and even changed disciplines. The 1980 National Jumping Champion discovered her talent for dressage and has since added copious wins and placings at Grand Prix level as well as the title of German Professional Rider Champion to her accolades!
Born into a family so passionate about horses, it seemed only natural that Francois Kasselmann would follow into his parent’s footsteps. Successful at European Championship level himself Francois Kasselmann is actively involved in the training and sales operations at Hof Kasselmann and has also taken on chief executive responsibilities in recent years.
Alongside Francois are his wife Diana and their young daughters Emma and Lilly, who together form the future generation of the Kasselmann-dynasty. The couple met during their joint apprentice years at Paul Schockemöhle’s and since then horses have shaped their family life. Diana is integral to the organisation of the P.S.I. Auction and can still be found in the jumping saddle from time to time.
