Employee (m/f/d) Breeding

We are seeking a new staff member (m/f/d) for the breeding and horse management at Osthoff Stud in Georgsmarienhütte, Germany.

Your responsibilities include:

• Working with the vets on daily routines
• Foal rearing and possibly birthing
• Horse husbandry
• Checking on the horses in the field
• Feeding responsibilities
• Managing the daily access of horses and foals to pasture

Your profile:

• Team player
• Trustworthy, reliable and able to work under pressure
• Sound knowledge in the field of breeding and horse management
• Completed studies / training in an agricultural profession, breeding, animal health / or horse management would be an advantage
• Good knowledge of German and English
• Driving licence B (BE or T advantageous, but not mandatory)

Rider for Young Horses 

We are looking for experienced and committed riders with skills in handling, training and caring for our high-class young dressage horses. You will work in a young and motivated international team. In your work as a rider you can be supported and further educated by international experienced trainers. 

Basic knowledge of German or English is required. 

Profile: of legal age, responsible, punctual, previous experience in competitions and horse training.

We are looking for grooms throughout our sport horse stable and dressage training centre. Duties range from general horse care, supply and stable work to preparation for training and competitions. Independent work is desired. 

A professional qualification is not required, but basic knowledge of working with horses is desirable. A truck driver’s licence is an advantage. 

Due to the size of our company, there are various opportunities for promotion and further development. We are an international team and speak German and English. Accommodation can be provided. 

Farm Workers

We are looking for helpers for our sport horse stable and stud. Tasks range from stable work, gardening and general maintenance. Experience with machinery and tractors desired.

A professional qualification is not required, but basic knowledge of working with horses is desirable. A lorry driver’s licence is an advantage.
