22 Dec Dressage stallion Simba charms international buyers at the Future Champions
(Hagen a.T.W.) The third Hof Kasselmann & Schockemöhle Hybrid Auction ended on Friday evening with exciting bidding duels, both online and on site in the jumping stadium at Hof Kasselmann. Auctioneer Hendrik Schulze Rückamp knew how to keep the audience and the buyers on their toes until the last hammer stroke. With bids from all over the world and prices ranging from 38,000 to 180,000 euros, it was another successful auction that met the requirements and wishes of every potential customer.
The highlight of the evening was the sale of catalogue number 5, Simba (Sezuan’s Donnerhall), presented by the talented Hof Kasselmann rider Sina Eilers. This young star for the dressage arena commanded an impressive price of 180,000 euros and was secured by a bidder from the United States. The second-highest dressage bid, the Bon Coeur son Bon Ami, trained up to advanced (S) level dressage, also found admirers from the USA and changed hands for 130,000 euro. The most expensive show jumping bid came for the Chaccoon Blue x Conthargos mare Chanaika PS, who was also sold to the USA for 138,000 euro. Another Chaccoon Blue x Conthargos daughter, Chaya Brava PS with catalogue number 10, was sold to customers from Denmark.
The third Hof Kasselmann & Schockemöhle Hybrid Auction offered a high-quality collection of eight dressage horses and seven show jumpers. The ‘Future Champions’ youth tournament once again provided a fitting backdrop for the promising four-legged youngsters. Several young horses will be heading abroad, with buyers coming from the USA, Denmark, Portugal and the Netherlands, among others.
The organisers Paul Schockemöhle and Ulli Kasselmann were more than satisfied with the result. ‘Once again, we offered some very good, young horses, which were also well received due to the good atmosphere. Despite the European Championship football match already starting, people stayed and followed the auction live. We are looking forward to the next project,’ assured Paul Schockemöhle. Ulli Kasselmann agreed with his partner: ‘We were able to experience a great atmosphere in the jumping stadium. I believe that this could be expanded and perhaps more horses could be offered. The joint hybrid auction at the Future Champions has proved its worth.” Auctioneer Hendrik Schulze Rückamp’s conclusion was also positive: ‘When you stand between Paul and Ulli, you always feel at ease. I fell in love with two horses, they were almost the most expensive, so I guess I also showed the right taste…”
Prior to the hybrid horse auction, a charity auction was held for the benefit of the international not-for-profit organisation JustWorld International. This charity auction raised a total of 11,000 euros for two three-day clinics with dressage rider Frederic Wandres and show jumping legend Ludger Beerbaum.
