17 Jun Top price 'A kind of Blue PS' wows at the 2nd Hof Kasselmann & Schockemöhle Hybrid Auction
Hagen a.T.W. – A total of 18 young dressage and jumping horses from Hof Kasselmann and Stall Schockemöhle’s own breeding and rearing programme were offered at a hybrid auction on Friday evening. Cat.-No. 17, A kind of Blue PS by A Pikachu de Muze x Chacco Blue achieved the top price of 350,000 Euros. The Oldenburg grey out of the dam line of the successful show jumpers Casquo Blue, Chataga, Chaganus and Calasko Z was secured as a future hope for an American show jumping family.
In the second year of the joint hybrid auction, the Future Champions youth event again provided a fitting backdrop for the promising four-legged youngsters. The wonderful summer weather and the international audience attracted a large number of interested buyers from Germany and abroad to the garden of the Kasselmann family, where guests could enjoy the famous hospitality of the hosts. Auctioneer Hendrik Schulze Rückamp announced the first dressage horse promptly at 8.00 pm: catalogue number 3, Flaschenpost (Finnigan x Wolkentanz). The American Paralympic rider Fiona Howard won the bid for the impressive Hanoverian gelding at 110,000 Euros. Excitement continued immediately with the second horse in the ring, cat. No. 18, Charessino PS (Chacoon Blue x Caressini L) was sold to an online bidder from Mexico for 180,000 Euros. International was also the buyer for cat. No. 7, Fürstenhall: the Fürst Toto x Sir Donnerhall I son was worth 150,000 Euros to his new owners from Australia. The most expensive dressage bid came for the Foundation stallion Fine Top, who was sold for 180,000 Euros.
Several young horses will embark on their journey abroad: Customers from the USA, Mexico, Australia, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands invested in the high-quality collection. In total, the second Hof Kasselmann & Schockemöhle Hybrid Auction achieved a turnover of almost two million Euros.
Paul Schockemöhle confirmed the decision to hold a Hybrid Auction as part of Future Champions: “We showed good young horses, all well trained and presented. In this environment it is simply very easy to sell.” Ullrich Kasselmann also drew a positive conclusion: “It was an international auction with many surprises, the enthusiasm for the hybrid auction is really high.”
