13 Jun International Demand and Rising Average Price at the 5th Hof Kasselmann & Schockemöhle Hybrid Auction
(Hagen a.T.W.) The 5th Hof Kasselmann & Schockemöhle Hybrid Auction took place on Friday evening as part of the renowned youth Nations Cup event “Future Champions.” A total of 16 promising dressage and showjumping horses were sold to their new owners, both on site and online.
The top-priced horse of the evening was the showjumping mare Cokacetta PS Z (Continental Blue x Stakkatol). The six-year-old mare combines all the qualities expected of a modern top-level jumper: exceptional scope, athleticism, natural ability and an outstanding work ethic. Among the dressage horses, the four-year-old Oldenburg chestnut gelding Va Benissimo (Va Bene x Florestano) attracted the highest bid.
Demand was once again international, with buyers from Germany, Belgium, Scandinavia, Switzerland, Mexico, the United States, Brazil, Taiwan and South Africa among others participating in the bidding. Several young riders competing at Future Champions also took the opportunity to secure future sport partners for the years ahead. The collection achieved a total turnover of €1,878,500, while the average price rose to €117,406, surpassing last year’s result.
The Hof Kasselmann & Schockemöhle Hybrid Auction has firmly established itself as a reliable source of sport horses with international potential. Numerous former auction graduates have gone on to achieve success at the highest levels of the sport within a remarkably short period of time, underlining the selection and marketing philosophy of Ullrich Kasselmann and Paul Schockemöhle.
This year’s results once again demonstrate the strong global demand for quality, rideability and sporting potential. For many of these young horses, a new chapter now begins — one that may ultimately lead to the international stage.
